More 10ks to come
14 Sep
I just settled one of my previous month's credit card bill. Not much, only 3k plus, lol. More to come, *slaps forehead*. And dont you worry. I always settle all my credit card bills in full so as not to incur any interest. That card is a business card, one that hubby uses when he travels. You know how expensive it can be to stay at a hotel during the festive season, right. If not for business, he [Link]
When was the last time you sat down in front of the TV to enjoy a movie with your hubby? Me, i guess it was when i was still living in KL, way before the turn of the century. We do go to the cinema every once in a while too. That's easy as our office was at the mall and there's a cinema there. All those activities ceased the moment we moved back here.Life is very different when you live with in-laws. There's not much privacy and till now, i still dont feel as though i'm "home", you get what i mean? In fact, both my in-laws complained all the time about our lifestyle when we first moved back. They cannot understand as to why people can stay up all night and sleep all day. And also, how come i can sit in front of the pc all day long. How can i ever get to enjoy a movie with hubby outside at the living hall. Each time we sit there, someone would be bound to ask questions, like what we are watching, and keep reminding us to turn the volume down, haizzzz. Where got fun lah lidat. That's why till today, i prefer to lock myself up inside the room, where i can do as i please.Hubby brought back some Blu Ray Movies the other day and asked to to play them for him. HUH? We dont even have a Blu Ray Player, how to play Blu Ray Movies, lol. We only have two DVD players. Blu Ray movies and players are still very expensive. We may have to wait a few more years for it to drop down to more realistic levels before we get one for oursleves. [Link]
The Gem Of Life 54, 55, 56, 57 & 58 links will be up as soon as i get them. The internet lines are still depressingly slow and makes my organic life stressful. But as long as i get my daily dose of The Gem Of Life streaming during the weekdays, ok lah. I cant wait for Wednesday to come. School starts that day. If you are a hardcore fan of TVB The Gem Of Life, then go watch The Gem Of Life Ep 54 streaming online later on. [Link]
Come, listen to Gordon sing. Really really rare video. It's difficult enough getting a nice picture of him. To watch and hear him sing, like kena lottery, man. I was kinda like the papparazzi mom with spy videocam lidat when i took this video. Enjoy.
Here are my kids' favorite Gogo VCDs. The series is titled Gogo's Adventures With English and comes in six CDs. Bought all mine from the Toys Department, Parkson Grand, Ipoh. [Link]
I woke up really early this morning, say, around 6am or so. Hubby was also up and playing tennis on the Wii. I updated a few blogs and went out for breakfast with him. Had a nice bowl of Kai Si Hor Fun at Pasir Pinji. Haih, i dont know what to say about Kai Si Hor Fun in Ipoh these days. I personally feel that the quality of many Kai Si Hor Fun in Ipoh are no longer as good as it used to be. Maybe i'm a picky eater, but hey, I'm from Ipoh, you know.I tapau-ed Wantan Meen from them both. My boys were still in bed when we got back. But not for long. Gordon woke up shortly after we got back. I prepared his breakfast for him. Hubby forgot to turn the Wii off and Gordon quickly pounced on the WiiMote. Slot one of his Spongeb0b Wii games in and played as he ate, haizzzz. Malcolm also woke up and requested for his favorite Gogo. That's an English Educational Series i bought a long time ago..flickr-photo { border: solid 2px #000000; }.flickr-yourcomment { }.flickr-frame { text-align: left; padding: 3px; }.flickr-caption { font-size: 0.8em; margin-top: 0px; }
As the TV was pwnd, Malcolm was left with the laptop, poor thing. No choice, hoh. Laptop jau laptop lah, watudu. And so, here's Malcolm half watching half listening to his Gogo, and glued to Spongebob on the LCD TV, lol. Multi-tasking mah. Both my boys loves to watch Gogo's Adventures With English Series. Wait, next post, you'll get to see a video of Gordon singing to one of the songs. It's a very entertaining educational series that teaches young kids English. [Link]
Hubby invited me out for breakfast with him this morning. After deliberating with him over what to eat, we adjourned to Restoran Jen Jen, the first corner coffeeshop situated right behind Tow Boo Keong Hall. There’s a stall there that sells one of the best Kai Si Hor Fun in Ipoh. Here’s the coffeeshop i mentioned. I recommended the WiiFit to my friend the other day. She’s just had a baby and would like to do some light workout at home. I told her the WiiFit would be fine as it provides her with a gentle yet effective workout at the comfort of her own home. If you’ve not tried the […] [Link]
New Year is a time when people tend to make new year resolutions. Many of them think that by making a few changes to their life, they will become a better person. Really? I dont fall into this category of people, so, i wont know. I’ve stopped making new year resolutions a long time ago […] [Link]
Each time someone asks me if i've made any resolutions for the year, i'll laugh quietly to myself. I might be one of the rare fews who dont make new year resolutions. What's there to make? I find that it gives me more stress throughout the year if i find that i've not improved on them. A couple of years back, i used to make a list of new year resolutions and paste them on top of my monitor where i'm bound to view it each day. As i progress through the months, i will tick off all those that i've completed. But when year end comes and i've still not completed them, i'll feel stressed out. Really not worth all the fuss, lol. So now that you know why i no longer make new year resolution, forget about asking me, k.I think hubby is also like me, a person who dont believe in putting down some lifestyle changes on paper. He's a confident person and knows what he wants out of life. There was a time he vowed to cut down on his smoking but i dont see any improvement also. A few weeks into the new year, he's forgotten all about it. I guess i wont see him without a ciggie for a ong long time. But then, i noticed that he did cut down a bit after the price of cigarettes went up. See, it doenst really take much to get him to cut down. Not some silly new year resolution. The price will be the determining factor, lol.I guess there are many of you who are still into this new year resolution thingy. Well, have you listed down all the things that you want to change for the better this year? Have you stuck it onto the wall where you can see it each day? Better do so lest you procrastinate. Well, if you find it hard to follow through everything that you've listed down, you can get some help from NLP. NLP training can help you be a better person. Headed by top NLP trainer, Paul McKenna, you can be sure you can get all the help you need in order to be a more conident person by the end of year 2009!!! Check the link out. [Link]
I've stopped lugging my laptop around with me when i go out. It's so darned heavy though it's only a 13.3" model. Moreover, the battery died long time ago and it's costly to buy a new replacement battery for it. So, it's a useless machine unless i take the power cord with me. I think it's time i move on to netbooks. They are small and light. With cheap computer memory these days, i can even [Link]
Now that all the festive holidays are over, dont you think it’s time to give your body a good detox? I bet you must have accumulated a lot of gunk in you from those endless partying and family get together. Think of your body as an expensive sports car like Ferarri. Just imagine how much […] [Link]
It's the beginning of the new year and my SIL is here on a bright Sunday morning. She's here to check whether we all need help with getting insurance quotes or not. I've made a vow never to buy insurance from family members as they seem to think we owe it to them to buy from them. But when i need them to help me submit claims, they will more probably tell me to go do it by myself. What's the [Link]
As Chinese New Year is drawing near, i offered to changed all the ceiling fans around the house to those with lighting at the base of the fan. They look good and serves dual purpose, dont you think so? My MIL doesnt seem too pleased with my suggestion though i'm the one footing the bill. I'll give it two weeks. If by then she's still mum over the issue, i keep my money and buy myself a bigger oven and ice-cream maker. [Link]
My MIL cooked this morning but when i went to check on the dishes, found nothing there that my kids like. Saw a packet of minced pork staring at me and decided to make some minced pork patties for them. Ingredient needed: 100gm minced pork Corn flour, soy sauce, sugar and pepper to marinate 2 eggs Cooking method: Marinade the […] SHARETHIS.addEntry( { title: "Easy Minced Pork Patties Recipe", url: "http://organicsamm.com/2009/0~ } ); [Link]
I gotta do some cooking today as my kids didnt like what their Granny cooked just now. Sick of going out for meals everyday. Malcolm cannot sit still and i have to drag him back into the car when hubby eats. Gordon is okay with the PSP though. He's more steady these days compared to last year. My boy, he's grown up already. So fast. Just hope Malcolm will throw less tantrums when we go out. [Link]
This is real comfort food. With the rain showing no signs of stopping, what more can i do except to stay home and cook a huge pot of hot pork ribs porridge? My kids no longer like porridge, not even fish porridge. No idea why. Only hubby and i eat porridge these days. You […] SHARETHIS.addEntry( { title: "Hot Pork Ribs Porridge On A Cold Rainy Day", url: "http://organicsamm.com/2009/0~ } ); [Link]

I received my HSBC credit card statement yesterday. Gotta pay them 53 bucks by the 12th. In it, there's a new redemption/shopping booklet. After glancing through it, there's really nothing much in there that's worth it. All over-priced items.Hubby saw a set of Guess watch and asked me to redeem my points for it. Haha, get real. Why waste 100k points for a set of Guess watch, you tell me. I'd rather go buy replica watches online and save my points for something else. [Link]
I’m glad i live in a country where the weather is warm al year round and i dont need to shop for items like this heated blanket. I’ll be roasted in no time if i were to use one here. But for my friends, they cannot do without one during winter. Each time i ask […] [Link]
The lines are still very slow and it’s difficult to even get a post published. Let’s just say, i can hit the publish button, and still have plenty of time go off somewhere to get coffee and also, play a round or two Mario Kart online, lo. Can you imagine that. believe you me when […] [Link]
After days of not doing anything much at the pc, somehow, i feel as though i've been dragged to the slaughterhouse when it's time to write. Got choice meh? The dateline is looming before me and i faisi let the USD go to waste mah, haimai. Each time i see an opp, i tell myself that it's USD5 x 3.4 = Rm17; lunch/dinner is taken care of by ABC Paidpost Company, get what i mean.Anyway, i'm not a person that makes resolutions. I believe one needs to be disciplined and dedicated to their work in order to succeed. And of course lots of patience too as success dont happen overnight as far as making money online is concerned. With my two new projects, i hope year 2009 will be a more profitable one. Cheers to 2009!!! [Link]
How did your holiday go? Did you have a good rest after all the hoohah? It’s back to work for me again. And this year, i plan to be more disciplined and stay home more, lol. You know, i really should be resting more during the day as i work through the night. But with […] [Link]
Today is the last day i’ll be sending Malcolm to daycare. The teachers there dont know yet but i’ll leave it to hubby to inform them that Malcolm will be going to Kindy together with his brother next year. I dont know if he will like the place or not, so, i’m keeping my options opened for the time being. If Malcolm doesnt like going to Kindy, he will go back to the Daycare. But i am sure he will like the Kindy more than the Daycare center. After all, his Kor-kor is there with him for one year. Till then. [Link]
Watch The Gem Of Life 51 streaming online here. Follow the links to the streaming site, ya. And bookmark it for your future reference. I'm off for an early dinner with my family to usher in Year 2009, followed by some last minute shopping. Need to get some school items for my kids. I hope to be back by midnight. I want to play Mario Kart online with my kid tonight. If hubby wants me to go to the foodcourt with him, it's also alright with me. Yes, let's all eat and be merry. Happy 2009!!! Dont forget to watch The Gem Of Life 51 online later on, ya. [Link]
School reopens next week. Have you bought all the necessary school items for your kids yet? I havent, lol. Gordon needs a new school bag as the one he's using is well over two years old and the water-proofing layer at the bottom of the bag is all gone. The bag is alright though. A friend told me i can always sew him a new base and have it covered in plastic as a DIY water-proofing pad. I know [Link]
Year 2009 is fast approaching. Only 6 hours to go before we usher in the new year. Any plans? I still have a few more posts to dish out. Then, i'm off to celebrate with an early dinner. I know the malls and diners will be very full tonight. Since no one's cooking today, that leaves me with no choice but to eat out again. Maybe do some shopping after that. Any ongoing Sale? I need new shoes. [Link]

I’m still counting down to the day school reopens, lol. It’s Wednesday here now and i guess i still have five more days home with the kids. I will survive. many people dont understand while i dread the school holidays. Those are mainly parents who spend 9 am to 5am away from home at the office. They get to work in peace without having demanding kids around them, screwing up their thoughts and concentration. As i’m a Work-At-Home-Mom, this is not a good combination at all. My train of thoughts get disrupted half the time and nothing much gets done. That’s why i’m so looking forward to the day i get back my precious four hours during the weekdays. Oh, they can have me 24/7 on both Saturdays and Sundays. Quality time or not, i am with them all the time. So, i guess my kids have me by their side compared to moms who spends most their days away from home. The other day, a friend’s daughter asked me to help her look for information on Travel Nursing Jobs. She’s been to many nursing agencies before but havent found one that meets up with her requirements. I managed to locate one for her. It has years of experience providing hospital staffing opportunities to healthcare professionals. This travel nurse company clients even have access to select the perfect position in any one of the 2,500 prestigious hospitals throughout the United States. Hope this helps her out. If you are also looking for Travel Nursing Jobs information, the link here may be of help to you. [Link]
PMR 2008 results are out. How did your kids fare in this year’s exams? I have three nieces who sat for their PMR exams. Two of them scored straight As, whilst the other managed to score 5 As. Not bad considering she scored B for the other two subjects. As long as she managed to […] [Link]
I just got back from a nice lunch. Got up rather late this noon and had to rush off without any food. As we had lunch at the mall, naturally, we also ended up shopping, lol. What’s new, huh. I know the economy is not going to improve anytime soon, but what the heck. Everything […] [Link]
I gave my kid a dose of Zentel the other day. You should have seen the look on his face when he swallowed it, lol. He hates the taste of Zentel. Though it’s slightly sweet, i think he doesnt like the chalky texture that lingers on his tongue long after he swallows it. As i […] [Link]
When was the last time you de-wormed your kids? I bought two bottles of Zentel for both my boys last week. Gordon had his already and didnt like it one bit. The other bottle of Zentel is still on my table. That’s for Malcolm. knowing that kid, he will most likely struggle a lot. Time to go locate the big syringe. It’s the only way i can think of to make him swallow the white liquid. What does Zentel taste like? It’s sweet with a chalky texture…. blekkkk. [Link]
According to a report on BBC News Uk website, a recent US research indicates that an extract from grape seeds can destroy cancer cells whilst leaving normal cells alone. here’s what it has to say: In lab experiments, scientists found that the extract stimulated leukaemia cells to commit suicide. I read an article at BBC News that marinating meat in alcohol prior to cooking may cut down on cancer-causing agents produced during the cooking process. And this includes both frying and grilling. I just found out from hubby that baby’s daycare is closing at 4.30 afterwards. That leaves me with less than an hour to get my work done. It’s the last day of 2008, and i hope i can finish everything up. Dont want to carry forward anything if possible. I think i can only manage […] [Link]

Out of boredom, i cleared out all the boxes from under the bed this evening. There a re a few large carton boxes down there. Cant remember what i kept in them until i opened them one by one earlier. I found lots of old Cds and also plenty of unfinished yarn.I 'm glad i checked those boxes out as i really need lots of loose yarn for my next crochet project. Apart from that, i also dug out my SLR Canon camera.Yes, it's a SLR camera, not a DSLR, k. The camera together with all the lens that i've bought over the years when i was still single were kept inside a box under my bed all along and i thought i've lost it when i moved back. Wonder what should i do with it now that it's the age of digital cameras. In fact, just the other day, i was out shopping for a prosumer digital camera. It's time i move on to a digital camera that provides me with more controls minus the bulk. That's the reason why i wanted to go for a prosumer digital camera instead of a DSLR. I doubt if i'll ever carry a DSLR around with me. The other day, hubby bought a few photo frames and asked me to print out some nice family pictures for him to place a the living hall. This must be the most difficult task for me as i have tonnes of photos inside my computer. Just wished he had bought the Ceiva instead. I heard from friends that the Ceiva is one intelligent Digital Photo Frame. With a phone connected to it, it can receive photos sent to it from any computer or camera phone, Convenient, eh. Now, this is just what i want to buy. Well, if you are interested in knowing more about Ceiva, you can check it out via the link i left here in this post.

I read from one of our local dailies that Indian restaurants are starting to reduce their food prices by 10 - 50 cents, and this is expected to continue for the coming few months. So, how does this benefit me? I seldom eat Indian food nor fancy it in the first place. Hubby is a huge […] [Link]
Please dont laugh at me when i tell you one of my schooldays’ ambition is to become a lawyer. And oh, that’s besides my wanting to be a doctor and engineer too, lol. See how adventurous i was when i was still in school. In a way, i’m thankful that none of my ambitions materialized. […] [Link]
I had a quiet evening to myself just now. Hubby took our two years old toddler out with him to a friend’s birthday party and left the big kid with me. So, for the rest of the evening, i sat at my pc blogging away, whilst my kid watched his favorite Dvds and did some […] [Link]

Apart from earning a decent income writing ads, i still feel that it’s not profitable in the long run. If i dont write, i dont get money. My friends told me that affiliates programs are a good way to earn also. Even if they dont sit in front on the computer, the programs still make money for them. That’s very good to hear. I’ve never liked a 9 -5 job, so, i might as well try out their suggestions. I definitely want a work at home business online to supplement my current earnings. My friend asked me to check out work-at-home-net-guides.com. The first thing i saw on the website is “You Can Use the Same 8-Step Process that has Allowed my wife Arlene and I to Work at Home Online for Over Seven Years - and Earn Amazing Money!” I believe if they can do it; SO CAN I!!!! My friends told me they’re earning a decent income after signing up for this home study course which comprise of their THIRD EDITION training manual (389 pages), a companion video series and a legitimate step-by-step course for those wanting to work at home. I’m off now to check out their free video. [Link]

Recently, a close relative of mine fell into the clutches of credit card debt. It all happened so fast during the last few months her hubby was out of a job. With no money left in their savings, they started to withdraw money with their credit cards in order to survive till her hubby finds a new job. The thing is, cash advance fees is quite high here. Soon enough, she found that coupled with the monthly interest, she can no longer meet up with the monthly repayments. The outstanding amount ballooned to a scary five figure that brought her nothing but nightmare each night. It’s really bad. I heard she’s been going round and round to friends, and family members seeking financial help. It’s also very unfortunate that no one is willing to help her out. Some even asked her to file for bankruptcy. I know how bad it can be should one fails to meet up with their credit card repayments. I have a few friends who went bankrupt that way, sad huh. In the end, she was also lucky as she met someone who told her to go for Credit Counseling instead. She gave it a try and was so glad at what she learnedand the help she received in order to regain her financial freedom. These things take time but you have to start as soon as possible. Check out the link i left here in this post for more information on how you can become debt free again. Remember. There IS light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to take the first step and walk there. [Link]

This is the specifications that i’m given. I’m to buy 20 units of Broan 12″ Trash Compactor Bags. Hubby needs them by next weekend. Why in the world must he ask me to buy? Cant he do them by himself. We always get ours from abtelectronics.com. They sells lots of trash compactor accessories and most importantly, genuine Broan trash compactor bags. These Broan trash compactor bags are made of strong reinforced polyethylene and are specifically designed for Broan trash compactors only. We dont use compatibles cos the manufacturer has advised against it. They precisely fit the dimensions of Broan trash compactors and they include pre-punched holes that fit the drawer buttons on Broan trash compactors for an easy, error-free installation. Now you know why we must buy them. [Link]
