How To Block Unwanted SMSes In Nokia Phones For Free

I’ve been a Nokia user for more than a decade. The reason is simple. They never change much, lol. Of all the functions provided along with the Symbian OS, what i found lacking is the ability to block unwanted SMS-es in its Messaging Client. I just spent a lot of time deleting off my old […] [Link]

Secret - I wanted to be a beautician before

Now that SPM results are out, any idea what you are going to do with your life? Are you going to further your studies or are you going to brave it out in the working world without a diploma or degree? Either way, if you are determined enough, you'll still be successful in life. One of MIL's relative was over today and she was complaining about her daughter going to a cosmetology school. She was hoping she will follow her sister's footstep and take up Nursing. MIL told her not to force it and let her decide what to study. She knows where her interest lies. There was a time when i wanted to go to a cosmetology school myself too. I ditched that idea after someone offered me a job, lol. Oh, the lure of money….. [Link]

A career in the beauty industry

I believe many school leavers are thinking of what to study next now that SPM results are out. The woman living a few doors away from my house is having a fine time arguing with her daughter since Saturday on her choice of studies. She wants to become a beautician and go further her studies at a cosmetology school but her mom wants her to take up a Secretarial Course instead. Difficult, eh…. [Link]

Male In The Beauty Industry

SPM results were out last week, just before the school term break. For the past two days, most of my friends were talking about whose son/daughter obtained how many As in their exam. One of the gossiped about her neighbor freaking out when her son told her he wants to go into the Beauty Industry […] [Link]

My Friend’s Son Wants To Go To A Cosmetology School

If you have a son, and he walks up to you one day telling you he wants to go to cosmetology school, would you allow it? That’s what happened to my friend. She got married right after she left school and her kid is already 18 this year. As both she and her hubby had […] [Link]

No more blocked nose… hopefully :p

I found the bottle of Eucalyptus Oil and have placed a few drops into my Greenaire Revitalisor ( a tkind of water-based air cleaner). Malcolm woke up crying many times last night due to blocked nose. Hope it'll ease his breathing. I sure dont want the same thing to happen tonight. I'm already far too sleep-deprived. Moreover, still gotta wake up early tomorrow to send Gordon for tuition. Though it's the holidays, his tuition schedule remains the same. [Link]

Flu…. AGAIN

Both Malcolm and i are coming down with flu, AGAIN!!!! This time, i got it from him. I just hope Gordon doesnt catch it. Niamah, each and everyone of us has been taking turns to get sick since CNY, WTF. Lucky i've not planned anything like a trip to the beach for the holidays. If not, sure kena cancel. [Link]

A Car Is Not An Investment, OK

I wonder when will i get to drive my new Perodua Alza. The saleslady told me i may get mine at the end of this month. Well, i’m not in a hurry. But the thought of getting my own car after so long is still kinda thrilling. Geeee… this also means i may need to […] [Link]

UV Clothing

I’ve turned at least 200 shades darker ever since i started sending my kids to and fro school in the afternoons. The weather is so hot that even applying sunscreens doesnt help much to keep me fair. Well, not that i’m fair to begin with also. I try my best to remember to put on […] [Link]

Popular Book Fair

Took the kids to Parkson for lunch just now. Popular Book Fair has started. In fact, i went there yesterday evening. Picked up some books and another batch of Educational VCDs for my kids. I believe it’ll keep them occupied till school reopens the following week. There are lots of promotional products there too. I […] [Link]

Cancer Is Not A Disease - Book

My new book ” Cancer Is Not A Disease” has arrived; FINALLY!!!! Took 3 freaking week, man. Got it from Acmamall, woooot. In away, it arrived at the right time as school holiday has just started. I just hope i can finish reading it by the end of next week. Even if i cant, i […] [Link]

Farmville Freezes Windows

I told myself not to waste time playing Farmville, and yet, i find myself logging in to check on my Chicken Coop, Barn, Stables, etc. Now, i’m in the midst of constructing my French Farmhouse, lol. I still need lots of materials and i only get to request for them once a day. To be […] [Link]

Behind every woman there's a tonne of dirty laundry to gaotim…..

Since yesterday, i've been busy with things related to clothes. Think separating, soaking, bleaching, washing, ironing, blah, blah, blah. In a way, my ironing skills have improved. I can now do almost a dozen shirts in an hour. I dont know how exactly fast that is, but to me, it's fast, ok. Oh, the darned washing machine just beeped. Gotta hang the clean laundry. More washing later on. Not to [Link]

Holidays again

A week off again. We're not going anywhere as hubby is still pretty busy traveling. Not that i mind either. I've bought lots of new activity books and VCDs to keep the kids entertained for the holidays. At least, this will save me lots of money and they learn something at the end of the day. If my Mom allows it, i'd love to send Gordon off to her place for a day or two. That'll be blissssssssss.. [Link]

Let Custom Labels do the talking for you

Our Education Department came up with some extensive guidelines that got lots of parents worried. I'm still wondering if my elder kid has to abide by the latest guidelines or not. I hope he's spared. If not, i can foresee lots of headache in the next coming two years. If you are aware of what's been keeping the parents gossiping a lot lately, dont you think it's a bit harsh to make 9 year olds go to another school if they fail to make the grades, which, by the way, has been set to a ridiculous standard. To me, it's so demoralizing for the young children. If it's true, then i guess my younger kid will have to abide by it. I'll have to check with the school when it reopens after the school holidays for further clarification. I'm not not pleased with it either.Just in case you all are wondering as to why i'm still up typing this out, let's just say it's my neighbor that's been keeping me up all night. I can hear the fler banging away at the bedroom door every ten minutes or so. Every once in a while, i can hear loud yellings but i cant make out what he's saying. Maybe he's drunk and his wife doesn like it and they quarrel again. It's not the first time, and i believe, it wont be the last either. I was at Data Graphics Inc., a site where we can order Custom Labels online earlier. I really feel like ordering a batch of Custom Printed Labels that says "Silence Is Virtue" and hang it over my fence. My neighbor can then get the drift that they are really disturbing the peace. Let the Custom Label do the talking, huh. I have much better things to do than to confront them. [Link]

Custom Labels have lots of uses

I'm so glad i made my kids go to bed late just now. They were so tired after a long day that they fell asleep almost immediately after i turned the lights out. I could hear them snore shortly after that, bliss. I believe this is also why the loud noise coming from next door doesn't bother them much. My neighbor, a young couple in their early thirties, are quarreling again. They quarrel a lot, [Link]

Are you looking for good house plans online?

I'm so glad school exam is over and done with. Not only that, school holiday just started too. My kids wont need to go to school for the next nine days. Since this evening, they've been bugging me to take them over to their Granny's. I believe Gordon wants to play computer games with his cousins. As for Malcolm, he's into "Masak" these days. By that, he wants to play "chef", LOL!!!! I really hope he can be a chef one day and cook for me. Believe you me i cant cook to save my life. Abuthen, hubby did not marry me for my culinary skills, ok. My hands are great at other skills other than cook. And no, i wont elaborate here :pI bought some new educational VCDs and also picked up a few activity books for the kids from the book fair this evening before school's over for the term. I dont want them to waste their time playing all day long. Gordon needs lots of coaching and i will use the nine days to help him revise. His latest hobby is learning the Chinese language. He's going to love all the VCDs i bought. If time permits, i'll go ver to my friend's house and help her with her house design. She bought a piece of land recently and have no idea how to go about it. She wants me to help her look at some home plans. She sent me this link to some really good house plans online. If you are also looking for a house plan, you must hop over to the site. It's very informative.LoudLaunch - Compensating bloggers for their unbiased opinions, reviews, and analysis. [Link]

These home plans just make me wanna build my own house

It's really funny how friends react to some of my posts. There was a time i used to rant about my life at home. My busybody SILs used to come over to my place and try to climb over my head. I usually dont give a damn about what they do or say as i know they are all instigated to do so by my in-laws. That's years ago and they've all given up, lol. And yes, i live with my in-laws. Income Going Down South…

I just wish i have more time to work on my blogs. My online income is going downhill; so is the Dollar, sigh. I’m already not earning much, and the current USD exchange makes it even lesser. It’s a real joke. I dare not withdraw my Paypal earnings as i’m getting far lesser once it […] [Link]

I Love Candybar Mobile Phones, Period

Hubby finally gave up on his Samsung mobile phone. He followed my advice and switched to a Nokia model this time. I have nothing against Samsung mobile phones. ZZZZZZland for me

I just wasted a good half an hour talking to friend about outdoor fireplaces just now. The weather is so hot and yet, she wants to have one installed at her new place. Something must be seriously wrong with her. Anyway, i'm heading to bed now. Wanna wake up early to help my kid with his revision. It's his first term exam next week and i want to help him do his best. So, good night and i see you all tomorrow, ok. [Link]

Barcode scanner function on the N82

My nephew played with my N82 yesterday when he was over. He asked me how to use the barcode scanner function that came with it. I told him i dont know as all i saw on the screen is something going from left to right, right to left, left to right, continuously. It doesnt seem to be able to read nor capture anything. I told him not to compare it to the ls2208 his Dad uses at the shop. All i can say [Link]

Way to go, boy

My kid will be sitting for his first term exam next week. I wonder how he'll fare in his first exam. I dare not put my hope too high. In a way, i get to gauge his studies. It's important for me to know where his weak and strong points are. His teacher told me he loves Maths the most and can sit still during Math Lesson. I go through his homework with him everyday and he's super fast when it comes [Link]

Formatted my PC…. again

I formatted my PC again last night. I dont know what caused its demise. I could have been anything. Anyway, it's like a virgin now and i have to reinstall the zillions of softwares and drivers i need for my work @#$%^&*(. Now, i cant even play Farmville with my Firefox browser as it keeps popping up some windows asking me to install some dunno wat files. It's still stuck even after i've allowed it and wouldnt finish loading, cheh. Have to use Flock for my Facebook again. My friend told me she just added a video card after seeing some great deals on video cards online. She was hoping it can help improve her gameplay, lol. Honestly, it wont lah. With the kind of broadband connection we have, forget about playing FB apps without loading issues. Slow is the name of the game, period :p [Link]

Ways to kill time

My SIL was wondering how i can spend everyday at my kid's school without getting bored to death. Well, there are lots of ways to keep myself busy. I can bring along my portable DVD player and watch movies on the go. It's a great way to kill time at the food stalls there. I can also do some knitting or crochet projects there too. Mother's Day Gift

It's March, and i know it's a tad too early to start thinking of Mother's Day. Two months is a long time, lol. Abuthen, i saw some really cool mother's day gift here and would like to share it with you. So, those forgetful ones had better bookmark the site now. Maybe pre-order some and have it sent to your Mom just in case you forget. Believe me, you can forget important events like this, ok. Happened to me before. I'm taking the kids over to my Mom's as they want to play with their cousins. Dont miss me, ok. I'll be back sooner than you think :p [Link]

Another careless driver claimed the life of a 12 year old kid

I read about the death of a 12 year old boy first thing in the morning when i logged onto my Facebook account. The boy happened to be a close friend of my friend's son. He was knocked down by a car as he was cycling to school. It's another similar case to the boy that got knocked down by a school bus recently. Sad, huh. I also heard the boy's family is having a little financial difficulty as they [Link]

Of Coffee And Excessive Underarm Perspiration

I stayed off coffee for a few days. I read that by doing so, it can reduce my problem of excessive underarm perspiration. Well, i think staying off coffee cannot do much for me as the weather is far too hot these days. I still perspire just as much. The only way to perspire less […] [Link]

Played with the laundry basket before?

My kids are having so much fun playing with the laundry basket now, lol. They've not played with it before and are taking turns going under it with the other standing on its upturned bottom. Of Bak Kut Teh and cholesterol

For the past few days, i've been going out with my good friend for lunch. Yesterday, her hubby joined us and he took us to a newly opened Bak Kut Teh Restaurant. I'm not a huge fan of Bak Kut Teh. I still remember how he used [Link]

Marching on…

Two months went by in the blink of an eye. It's already March and i still havent been able to execute any of my plans for this year. My only wish for now is that Gordon can have his recess with his friends and no longer needs me to accompany him at the canteen. He's slowly getting the hang of it and gaining confidence by the day. I believe he can remember the whole "pee-wash hands-take money-buy food-drink water" routine by the end of the school term. Let's see how he performs this week. I wanna hear him say another "Mama, bye-bye…." tomorrow. [Link]

Adult & Singles Vacations for the daring ones

Ok, let's be honest here for once. Who's been to adult resorts before? I'd love to know what it's really like. For those faint-hearted once, adult vacations are not for you, ok. Feel free to check out the previous posts. I've read a lot about these adult vacations before but would love to hear it from someone i know. If you dont want to leave a comment here in this post, then drop me an email. Tell me what to expect from an adults and singles vacation. Are these vacations really wild? If we are a couple planning on a vacation, which is the best place to go to? Ahhhh… the thought of doing something wild for once is thrilling indeed. No time-table, no rules, only pure adult fun. Want to give it a try?You know what, busy couples who dont have much time to spend with each other are sure to benefit from adult vacations. Being a parent with two kids, our priorities have shifted. Hubby has to travel a lot and i'm home most of the time to tend to the kids. If he's home on weekends, we'll take the kids out shopping and dining. If he happens to come back on a weekday, we dont have time to ourselves as the kids takes up most of our attention. Given the choice, i think an adults vacation will do us good, lol. Now, who wants to volunteer as babysitter for 7 days? I WANT TO GO ON A REAL VACATION WITH HUBBY FOR ONCE!!!!! Not too much to ask for, right……LoudLaunch - Compensating bloggers for their unbiased opinions, reviews, and analysis. [Link]

Let's check out Caribbean vacation packages

Next on my list is this all inclusive vacation. I have a friend who worked on a cruise liner before for more than ten years. She's worked on a Caribbean Cruise Liner and told me if i have the budget, then i must go on one. The Caribbean is one of the best destination for romantic getaways. If you were to ask me, i'd love to go on a Cruise Liner provided my kids are not along. I dont think they'll enjoy being stuck on a ship, lol. I think i'll be pretty paranoid if one of them just wants to jump into the sea. Terrifying thought, eh.My brother was a sailor and i've seen lots of pics of him holidaying on a Cruise Liner with his wife. That was such a long time ago and Cruise Liners are more luxurious now. I'll also bookmark this Caribbean vacation and see what hubby has to say. I'm sure he'll go for this all inclusive vacation package. We've been together for 15 years and i understand him well, lol. Anyone here been to the Caribbean before. I'd love to hear from you. Leave a comment here, ya. If posible, i want one that includes beaches and lots of sight-seeing. Kids love the beach. I am already imagining myself sun-bathing and watching my kids play on the white sandy beaches. How blissful…..LoudLaunch - Compensating bloggers for their unbiased opinions, reviews, and analysis. Jamaican Family Vacation Packages

I guess my friends must have my blog on their newsfeed. If not, how come they know what i post so fast, right. I told you earlier i got another email coming in. This is from another blog buddy of mine. She just sent me an email telling me about these affordable discount vacation packages. She went on one before and even attached some cool pics of her family vacation. Being a parent herself, she understands how important it is to have the kids along on vacations. She told me she went to Australia once with her hubby and regretted it. She missed her kids for the whole five days they were there. Each time she called home, she can hear them crying over the phone. how heart-wrenching, huh.I tell you, if i were to go on a vacation and i call back home only to hear my kids crying over the phone, i think i'll just want to end my vacation and fly back home. That's why she says these all inclusive family vacations are just right for people with kids. In a way, i fully agree with her. My kids are bigger and i believe they will behave better now. Gordon isnt as hyper as he used to be when he was younger. Malcolm may be 3.5 years old, but he will listen and follow instructions well. He can evenhelp me keep an eye on his brother, lol. Well, i'm going to keep these Jamaica vacations bookmarked for hubby to check out when he comes back next week. I have more to check out after this. Stay tuned for the next post.LoudLaunch - Compensating bloggers for their unbiased opinions, reviews, and analysis. [Link]

Jamaican Holidays

A friend read my previous post and told me about Negril Jamaica and Runaway Bay Jamaica. Both these are all inclusive vacation packages. Jamaican holidays sounds exotic to me. Anyone here been to Jamaica before? I'm in no hurry to book now but i want to plan in advance. If possible i want to take the kids along with me. Though i'd love to leave them behind with my in-laws, i know i'll be thinking of them all the time. So, might as well take them along with me. They are bigger and much easier to care for now. Unlike last time when Malcolm was still a clingy baby. When the boys were younger, i really didnt feel like going anywhere with them. Gordon loves to runabout and i dont think i'll enjoy chasing after him all the time throughout my vacation, lol. As for Malcolm, all he wants to do is stick to my boobs. I'm actually in the midst of weaning him off. Wish me luck. I really need lots of it this time. It's been more than three and a half years and i'm 100% worn out from lack of sleep. I've done my best for him and it's time to end this special bonding moments. I have lots of pictures to remember the moments.Well, i'll bookmark these Breezes Resorts for the time being. I have another email coming in. It's from another friend with another suggestion for me. Am going to check that out and see how it compares.Planning for a vacation is so much fun. Hey, see what another buddy left on my FB update? It's a few links to some great adult resorts!!!! I've never been to one before. Are you game for Adults & Singles Vacations? This All inclusive Caribbean vacation sounds good to me

It's really not that easy to update my blogs with two kids running around the kids.I get dragged to the kitchen like once every five to ten minutes. If not, they'll be fighting over something and needs me to separate them. Sigh…. this is how weekends are like when both kids are home for the whole day. That's why i just want to finish up my posts and take them out. I'm about to finish my work [Link]

Found these discount Jamaica vacation packages

It's such a lovely afternoon. I should be out instead of sitting in front of my pc, lol. Well, give me another hour or so and i'll be out. Friends are often wondering how i can work on my blogs for hours on end. Why not? I write a post, then hop over to Facebook to check out the newsfeed. Planning A Vacation?

Chinese New Year is almost over. Tomorrow is Chap Goh Mei already, fast eh. For me, CNY is well and over with the day school reopened after the long hols. I didnt enjoy my holidays this year as i was sick. Was down with a bad cough, cold, sore throat yadda yadda. I even had to go to the hospital on the first day of Chinese New Year. I got better at the start of this week but now, i can feel the beginning of another bout of bad cough coming my way. I blame it fully on the hot weather. Just hope the kids dont catch it from me. Gordon cant afford to miss school as the first term exam is just round the corner. I have to spend the whole of next week helping him with his homework. Hubby has gone back to KL and wont be back this weekend. It's our wedding anniversary and he has to be away. Well, we have a short school break after the first term school exam. I'm going to get him to take me on a vacation to some faraway Breezes Resorts to celebrate our wedding anniversary, lol. I've read so much about these all inclusive Bahamas, all inclusive Caribbean and all inclusive Brazil but havent had the chance to go there. Best if i can leave the kids behind. Who wants to go on a romantic getaway with kids along, right. Let's see how things go. If not, i can always plan for another vacation during Summer. If you are also planning for a vacation, then do check out the links i've left here in this post. Where to get pottery supplies online?

It's almost 2pm. I still have another two hours to finish up my work. The kids are playing with their Megabloks set. I bought them a set with more than 100 blocks so that they fight less over who has more blocks to build with. Kids are kids. They fight over everything. Be it toys, food or tv. So, if you are not ready to handle daily parenting stress, dont have kids, lol. They can really drive you [Link]

Pottery Is A Good Hobby For Kids

It's another long weekend again. The kids are asking me to take them over to their Grandma's this evening. I may do that but Gordon has tuition from 4 to 6pm. Let's see how things go after i'm done with updating my blogs. I have lots of posts to publish and i intend to get them done by 2pm. That'll leave me free to do what i want in the evening. They are busy playing with their toys now and wont bug me for the next few hours. It's not easy to come up with activities that can keep them occupied for long hours at one time. They are bored with their toys already. I do rotate their toys once every two weeks so that they dont play with the same thing over and over again. I guess it's time to buy new toys or get them interested in a hobby now that they are bigger. A friend recommended i let them have a go at pottery. She says her kids love doing that on weekends. She told me about this AMACO/Brent, a pottery supply site which sells majolica glazes, slump molds and more. I think i'm going to buy some pottery stuffs back and see if they like it or not. If you are also trying to get your kids interested in something new, you may want to check out the links i left here in this post. It's good to get kids interested in hobbies at a young age. It keeps them out of mischief, eh.LoudLaunch - Compensating bloggers for their unbiased opinions, reviews, and analysis. [Link]
